Behind the Canvas
Kevin Sinnott
Written by one of the most popular artists in Britain, this striking book celebrates the author's 60th birthday and the touring retrospective in his honor. Part autobiography and part exploration of his theory and practice of painting, Sinnott's survey of the British art scene includes commentary on his influences and key works, while establishing a chronology that can summarized as follows: struggling artist, success in London, downturn, success in America, upturn, and at last?hero status in his native Wales.
