"Soon." How many times have you told a child "soon" or been told "soon" by someone else? How long is soon? One minute or two? I think you would agree there is not always an answer. Sometimes "soon" means I don't know. Susie is separated from her mummy whilst she seeks treatment for her mental wellbeing. When Susie asks when she will see her, she is told "soon" quite often. Yet "soon" does not seem to come. Susie never learns how long "soon" is, but she does come to understand "soon" means she will definitely see her mummy again.
