The People of the Passion
Alison J. Askew
The Rt. Revd. James Bell formerly Bishop of Ripon writes
"With these insightful yet easy to read reflections accompanied by some really searching questions, Alison offers us a moving and challenging invitation to think again about what and who is involved in the passion of Christ and to ask ourselves about the implications for the pursuit of the Christian faith today".
A series of evocative and thought provoking meditations based on some of the events of Holy Week, the last week of Jesus' earthly life, followed by a set of questions for personal reflection or group discussion.
By approaching these events through the eyes of those who were involved, the reader is enabled to engage with the events themselves as they are brought to life in a fresh way.
A stimulating and challenging read to be mulled over not rushed through. It questions some of our presuppositions and asks us to contemplate where we are in the drama of Jesus' passion.
