Osterreich's "Occultism and Modern Science" is a fascinating spiritist book divided into several sections each with various observations and opinions regarding mediumship and more- one section on the (in)famous Eva Carriere, one on Rudolf Steiner of Theosophy fame, and more. It contains as well an extensive list of suggested reading at the end, which is of extreme value to those wishing to delve deeper. Some of the opinions it expresses have been largely discarded, such as the authenticity of some mediums, however its treatment of some psychic phenomena, and its joint criticism and applause for Rudolf Steiner, among other things, is as relevant now as it was a century ago.
