The book contains a challenging set of 52 crossword puzzles for children in 4th or higher grades. The puzzles incorporate historical and geographical questions, basic science, Latin quotations, Roman numerals, Chinese, French, German, Hebrew, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish words and phrases. The book, however, mostly focuses on explaining the meaning of words and phrases that are not covered in school but encountered in newspapers, books, or heard while children listen to adult conversation. The set contains one puzzle for each week of the year. Most puzzles use a 9 x 9-letters format. Parents or grandparents are encouraged to work with the child to facilitate the learning of new concepts or it can be used by teachers for after-school classes. The book is an excellent tool for culturally enriching young minds.
