This fully illustrated book featuring large print is about a special group of women in their 90s, who can see age 100 on the horizon. It is based on interviews as well as informal conversations with them. All reside in a senior living community. All have had wonderful lives. And, all have experienced great loss, great sorrow in their long lifetimes. They have lost their parents, a husband or two, for some a child, siblings, other relatives and friends. They have given up the homes and neighborhoods where they raised their families. They've lost a lot physically as well and they know that growing older means having even harder times. But, they are in life to live. They each have a belief in their own capacity to live life even as they carry their losses. They understand that attitude is everything. They have mostly positive attitudes and an ability to accept the reality of what is. And as they age they find they actually gain a lot. This book explains all that from their points of view.
