Prayers Without a Kneeler

Prayers Without a Kneeler is a collection of poems about my relationship with Jesus. It's about a relationship that I wanted and at times didn't want. These poems are written not from within faith but from the outside. They are about trying to discipline my ego to allow my soul to open the grace that Jesus freely gives but is so frightening. This relationship is often frightening because Jesus demands one's unconditional love. And that's difficult for me because I am a human deeply embedded in the world. I often don't want to be but too often I am. You, dear reader, may have the same problem. If so, I hope these poems are of some comfort for you on your spiritual journey.
