Canary IslandsDescriptionConsisting of four main islands and many smaller ones lying off the coast of North East Africa. These comprise of: Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife. All different with their own characteristics and quirks. If you get the chance, visit them all and sample the Spanish life there. Each has both rich and poor areas and of course beaches and nightlife. Clubbing, bars and restaurants provide the night time with rich experiences. Day time, head to the beaches and water parks, and other places of interest. Your hotel or apartment complex will provide you with sources of information on where to travel, and what to do. If all else fails, the islands have benign sub tropical weather, although some are windier than others, all have plenty of sun and heat. You will not miss to take the sting of the colder areas to the north. As for shopping, there are plenty of malls and other shopping centres, enjoy much retail therapy. For water bunnies, there are a myriad of water sports available from parachutes behind boats, to water skiing, snorkelling, swimming and sun bathing. On some islands and set areas, nude sunbathing is encouraged, if you are into that thing. Either way, you should not ever be bored in the Canary Islands.
