As women, one of the most valuable things that we do not realize is we are our own viable society. We have been trained and programmed to think that we do not count and we do not matter, which is so far from the truth. For decades, eras, and centuries we have been pushed to the side, ignored, rejected, denounced, demised, and degraded. We have been held to a standard where society, tradition, and culture has forced us into thinking we can only fit in certain economic and social categories. However, the fault should not be placed solely on society, tradition, and culture. Rather, we as women must take some of the responsibility ourselves.
