Cleo Xavier just can't catch a break. Losing her home and business just before Christmas, Cleo has only one thing left going for her - she's been left a gingerbread-style house by her late great-uncle. There's just one great big problem - the gingerbread house is a disaster. Cleo races to fix up the house so she can sell it and get back to the city but everything keeps getting in her way - the house tries to maim her, she incurs the wrath of a vengeful country club director, she becomes the nemesis of a particularly aggressive beaver... and she meets a handsome sheriff that has her thinking she may not want to go back to the big city at all.
