This is a dark tale of horror set in Windhouse, the most haunted house in the British Isles. Murder and mayhem ruin a summer vacation in the Shetlands for the Beckworths, Ghost Chaser William and his son, Spenny. A fat witch and imbecilic son invade Windhouse, the Gordon family mansion on the remote Isle of Yell, (in the North Sea at the very edge of the Norwegian Sea) and seize Lizzie Gordon. They torcher her and place her in chains in the house's cold cellar to hold for ransom. Then the Beckworths arrive and torcher turns to murder.
