Into the Chaos of My Mind Kelli Bailey

A collection of poems and works that pertain the the daily thoughts that wrack my brain. I tend to worry and to focus on negative thoughts; without poetry, the thoughts would be stuck inside of my head. There are poems about love, heartbreak, hatred, life, feeling, and depression. Poetry makes a reader feel something and the works that I create are meant to do just that. Poems that people can relate to and writings that can connect to a reader. This book is more than just the contents of my mind spilled onto pages; this book is a work of art that allows people to look inside themselves. We are all connected in some way, and I find that words and poems help to find the connection. Writing these poems and creating different pieces has allowed me to be my most authentic self. Feelings are natural, whether they are good feelings or bad feelings. To show emotions is said to be weak, but I find that emotions are beautiful and chaotic. A person can change the world by using their feelings to guide them. This book is a glimpse into my mind, the chaos from within. Poetry is a beautiful thing and the world needs more poets. Connecting people through words is such a powerful feeling, and I have never wanted to do anything else with my life.
