This story takes place in the future after a devastating world war that kills most people. Territories ban together and are loosely governed by a political system that caters to powerful factions regardless of what means they use to stay in power. Historically Hawaiian Kings were fierce warriors, controlling territories within the chain of Hawaiian Islands. Overthrown kings were killed along with many within the defeated kingdom. Kamehameha was the first great king to unite the Hawaiian Kingdom. Here the Hawaiian warriors rise to power again and rule a peaceful nation. Kei, a descendant of Kamehameha, is content being a youth as his school years come to an end. However, he finds himself fighting to stay alive at every turn as the one country that remained intact after the war seeks to spread its authority.
