Not everyone can have a picture-perfect life forever. I did have that life, or I thought I did. Was it an illusion that I had to mature to see the truth? My dad was a rock star, and we had all the perks and comforts that came with the whole persona, but at home, I was just Dad's little princess and he was my hero. My mom couldn't spare the time to have a daughter. She showed up for photo opportunities. One night my life took a turn into disaster and nine months later I walked away from the shambles that was once my life. I snuck away from the pain and I was on my way to freedom in the back of a bus.
