Go Look in the Mirror is a collection of poems, reflections, and letters. It is about life, love and sorrow and the challenges life throws at us at any given moment. We cant predict when they come we; we just have to figure out how to deal with them when they do. As a mother, nanny, wife and friend. I have witnessed first hand the struggles my children, husband and friends have gone through. I have seen them unhappy in the relationships, feeling ignored by their significant other' or keeping themselves so busy they forget to look up and see the people next to them. I have listened to their struggles and have seen the sadness they carry around with them on the daily. From depression, daunting physical challenges and suicidal thoughts. This book is about accepting ourselves just they way we are, about accepting our way of being in the world. young old . big or small, making time for us, finding balance, and not accepting being treated poorly. It also also includes little tidbits of how important it is to have friends and people in our lives, to live a balanced life with responsibilities and boundaries as well as finding time to relax and have fun. Most of all this book is to offer encouragement to you the reader and be the voice for all the things we might want to say to some one but don't. sort of the the unspoken word. life is made up of moments big and small. At times these moments can be so hard and get us so down that we might not be able to look in the mirror and see our true reflections. Good news is we can change the narrative. Walk with me through my writings let me show you that life is worth living, that you are enough. All you have to do is look in the mirror and see what I see. Together lets change the reflection you see when you look at it.
