Why is it so hard to sit down and read my Bible? If you have asked yourself that question, you aren't alone. And great pains were taken to preserve/recreate the tone and style of the original author. From book to book, the vocabulary changes. The length of sentences and the use of transition words between them change. Luke sounds polished and sophisticated; Peter is more common; John is simple but abstract.
