Jim Spencer
Many people have reached a reasonable degree of mastery as turkey hunters, but becoming truly expert simply lies beyond reality. On the other hand, it is possible (though rare) to reach a true pinnacle of success as a teller of turkey tales.
With hundreds of turkey articles spreading over four-plus decades, and now with this third book on the subject, Jim Spencer has climbed that lofty peak. No one writing about turkeys today can top his ability to spin a yarn. To have this modern mountain man (that's his email handle) as a literary sidekick is to travel through woods of springtime wonder.
- Jim Casada, author of Innovative Turkey Hunting and Remembering the Greats
