The predominant message in society today seem to convey to the younger generation that God's requirement for obedience, purity and holy living can be lowered. The effect of this message is the emergence of a generation of children whose lifestyles and values may fall below God's standards. In what ways can the hearts of parents be stirred to counter the "trendy lies," mixed messages and ungodly influences children are exposed to in order to preserve a generation of children who can stand for God in contemporary times and beyond? This book appeals to parents to be more intentional in their obedience to God during parenting and to prayerfully guide their children along God's chosen path to fulfil their destinies. God's word is the only effective weapon in countering trendy lies" in today's society. It transcends time, age, ideologies and beliefs. God's call to parents is to leave an inheritance for their children and their children's children is still actively in place. Suggestions for ways to do so is the thrust of this book. Through a panorama of parents in the Bible and how their choices and general lifestyles impacted the destinies of the children they raised, this book echoes God's loving command and call to parents to be "next generation" minded in raising children today.
