Seven Days of Rain M Jonquil

On a rainy Thanksgiving Eve, two lonely people come together. Harry is a widower with few friends, estranged from his grown son, his only child. Maddie is down on her luck, living out of her car. Neither is the other's ideal companion. But they both fear what everyone else thinks of as the Holiday Season. To them, it is the months-long Season of Loneliness - of which Thanksgiving is just the start. So they seek refuge together from the darkening days, the growing cold, the continued rain. They seek solace from their loneliness, no matter how imperfect or temporary the solace might be. Then suddenly, to their surprise and confusion, sparks begin to fly. Their relationship soon puts Harry in danger of losing his job and leaves Maddie questioning her own heart as well as her previous choices. Mean-while, Harry's son, Charlie, is suffering a crisis and needs his father's help. And all the while the ghost of Harry's first wife hovers on the edge of events.
