I Never Saw Spring, Because I Died in Winter
David R Peoples
Known for his music, David Peoples is venturing into new territories with these set of poems. Much has been written about the Holocaust; with many point of views presented. These fictional narratives (but, based loosely on actual survivors) narratively speak to us from the perspective of a child surviving some of the (almost unspeakable) atrocities committed by humankind. The author has worked with children for decades- and brings the imagination, innocence, and strength he has observed in our little treasures. It is David's hope that we will remember to love and protect little ones; but, also to remember the sacrifices children made during the Holocaust.
