When Tish Romano takes her yearly vacation to the Mediterranean, she doesn't realize how much of an adventure awaits! After a little too much good cheer, she stumbles into what becomes a journey of the heart through ancient landscapes, meeting many strange and delightful characters. Even she has changed for her other-worldly trek into the past, becoming Thaleia, an honored attendant in Aphrodite's palace.

But that honor doesn't last long. When she is caught with a man most unwelcome in Aphrodite's bed chamber, Thaleia is cast from the palace into the wilderness. Suddenly living as a mortal, she sets out on the journey to find her way back into Aphrodite's good graces. Along the way, Thaleia makes funny new friends, always trying to help her through her trials with their awkward ways. Thaleia's real trouble starts when trials turn to ordeals, and desperation fights death. Can her friends help her when she needs it the most? Or will she sacrifice everything she has gained, even her way back to the protection and ease of Aphrodite's palace, just to save a friend in need?
