This book presents a system of Yoruba numerals which, while being conservative of core identifying features, is standardized, decimalized and extended to meet the demands of mathematics, finance, science and technology in a digital age. Developing this system has necessitated the introduction of many bold, sometimes audacious, novelties. This is especially seen in the unique ways proposed to handle digital-compliancy, huge numbers, decimal fractions and negative values - all of which have continued to be recurrent problems of the language up till now. This has paid off in the achievement of the original goal without wrecking any havoc to the essence of the language or any prized aspects of its rich heritage. I believe that this system, if adopted to any extent, will be a great tool in the hands of all those interested in engaging the Yoruba language in computational processes. This will also be advantageous to educational authorities which are now showing renewed interest in the language for instruction purposes of the students at various levels. The aim of this book is to chart a workable path toward the goal of enhancing Yoruba language in the hope that others may derive some real value in treading the path both as source of inspiration and in actual direct usage.
