Darkly Devotions: Meditations for Ye of Little Faith is a collection of poems, stories, and meditations written in a "daily devotional" style (with opening exercises, selected passages, reflection, and closing prayers) that subvert and play with traditional religious and spiritual texts. The devotionals are intended primarily to entertain and provoke; if by chance they also help readers reconcile old belief systems with new and offer a "road less traveled" to a divine, then they have probably overstepped their purpose. Don't let them overachieve. They're already in danger of thinking more highly of themselves than they ought to think.
