Contemporary Urdu poetry has established a new tradition to reflect a new world of meanings beyond the traditional concepts of love, romanticism and unreal and exaggerated human interactions. Today, the Urdu poets are more associated with the traditional cultural values blended with the global effects of expressing ideas based on factual situations. Still, they have not been distanced from their feelings and emotions that separate poetry from any other form of literature. Salman Siddique's "Jo Na Bujh Sakey" is the best example of blending Pakistani and American culture under the shadow of globalization.
