Morning Prayers - Evening Prayers
William Dean Witten
Life happens. Some days everything is good. On the other hand, other days are fraught with disappointment, failure, loss of employment, sickness, and death. This is the universal human reality. How does one respond on good days and bad? What are the options? One option is to "grin and bear it." Some think that belief in a personal God is unnecessary for living through hard times. On the other hand, some cope by relying on God's support through their own as well at the prayers of others. I am hopeful that Christians will use these prayers in their devotional life as they live through good days and bad. I envision these prayers as launching pads for personal prayer. Let me be clear. I suggest that you pray from your heart. If you can do that, using these prayers, then I encourage you to do so. However, if there are days when you just don't have words to express your heart and these prayer words can be used by you, I will rejoice.
