Celebmericks Volume1 You the Writer

Get your muse on boys and girls! You are invited to write 22 silly limericks about some of Hollywood's most popular movie stars, with rhyme, but completely without reason; based solely on their limerick-friendly surnames. And yes, this is a book to be written by you, the writer.

The good news is that anyone can write a limerick. You can compose these poems by yourself; but it's a lot more fun if you do it with family or friends. We recommend splitting into two teams and taking it in turns to assemble each limerick between you. You'll also need a pencil and eraser.

Ideally, your limericks should be witty, or at least make people groan. They should have five lines, with lines 1, 2 and 5 rhyming and having the same rhythm. Line one should also end with the name of the celebrity in question.

Lines 3 and 4 should rhyme with each other. They should be shorter than the other lines and have the same length and rhythm.

The first section of the book contains 22 example limericks, one on each celeb. For example, here's one on Jackie Chan:

An actor and stuntman named Jackie Chan
Studied Kung Fu in Hong Kong and Bhutan.
His moves were so limber
That he could fell timber
With a roundhouse kick or a frying pan.

And then, it's your turn! For each celebrity, we supply you with a list of rhyme suggestions. The rest is up to you and your team.
