Samuel and I spent every year at an old Inn located in the small town of Lava Hot Springs. While Tess was away, I decided to take a trip there to relax and say my goodbyes. However, when I arrived, resting was the last thing on my mind once I saw the new proprietor. Seth was unlucky in many things, but he never quit trying... October was the start of my busy season. People flocked to the Inn during the winter months so they could use the mineral pools. This week I was booked, and we were expecting another storm. As I went over incoming reservations, I heard someone's bags banging up the stairs. I was about to tell the thoughtless person to be considerate of the other guests, but the words never left my lips. The woman stuck her hand out to shake mine. "Hello, I'm Tansy Whitfield. I made reservations online. Could I have a room that overlooks the Port Neuf River?"
