This arrangement (scroll below to listen to audio and video of the score), for an eight-part Trombone Quartet (or with euphoniums and tuba), is scored for high school and above advanced-level players for use in both secular and sacred settings. The sound of the haunting theme of Nimrod, from Elgar's Enigma Variations, becomes beautifully sonorous when played by a trombone choir. This transcription is arranged so that all the parts are demanding, not just the first trombone (or lead part), therefore distributing the demands for the success of the group to everyone. This arrangement can be performed in entirety in about 4 minutes. Included with the purchase of the score are individual parts which may be photocopied for use during rehearsals and performances.
