Explore the newspaper world and learn to write like a reporter while you read your way through American history classics in Americana Newspaper Reporting, a Middle School English Course. Start with the Anatomy of a Newspaper-become familiar with the different sections of a newspaper. Learn to be a good reporter, uncovering "Who? What? Where? When? Why? How?" You will write several articles as you travel through time in American history. Learn to write headlines, bylines, photo captions, news articles, features articles, advice columns, classified ads, editorials, and more. Try your hand at cartoons, including editorial cartoons, ads, and photography. Next, it's time to put together your own family, neighborhood, local church, or homeschool co-op newspaper.
