Annika is young, vibrant, sexy, and knows exactly what she wants out of life. She has never had to struggle a day in her life until her father suddenly dies and leaves her all alone. Essence has been down with Annika since they were teenagers, so when Annika's father dies, Essence tries to give Annika the support she needs, but Essence finds herself having her own problems to deal with also. Essence and Kyree have been rocking together for about three years, but never did she expect for Kyree to betray her like he has. Hurt and disgusted by the man she thought loved and cared for her, Essence leaves and promises herself never to look back again. When Essence is hit with the unexpected news of being pregnant, she then realizes that she isn't ready to be a mother, and her relationship with Kyree is long dead.
