Walking With You for Fathers is a combination of writings from perinatal loss support specialist and founder of Sufficient Grace Ministries, Kelly Gerken, and a compilation of stories and wisdom straight from the hearts of fathers who have walked through the loss of a baby or young child. Men and women grieve differently, and the focus is often on the mother. The struggles fathers face after the loss of a baby are twofold. A father is not only grieving the loss of his baby, but often the added struggle he feels for the grief of his wife/partner. A husband wants to protect his wife and family, to make it better. This is a hurt he could not protect her from, pain he cannot make better. Our hearts go out to the unique position a father is left in as he navigates through this grief, often quietly and with little support. It is our hope that the words in this book, spoken by fathers to fathers will encourage you in the moments when you feel overwhelmed by the broken things you can't fix, and the missing of your baby, or the pain of your wife/partner, or the truth that everything is changed.
