Oil Paul F Taylor

This the first to be published in a series of chemistry, physics, and science unit textbooks. They are designed to support the work of the Mountain Word Academy with homeschooling families, co-operatives, and consortia. This unit textbook on oil addresses the subject of oil in the Bible, and then the source and history of petroleum. This leads to an opportunity to study hydrocarbons, and some basic organic chemistry reactions. The author acknowledges the influence of the old English chemistry curriculum, known as Salter's Chemistry. This use and process led course, while designed for a secular audience, seems inherently appropriate for a biblically-based science education series.
