See ladies, like many of you, as an unmarried woman of God, I had a list and lots of expectations concerning marriage. I had experienced the miracle working power of God and I knew that nothing was impossible with Him. So I made my requests known to Him concerning marriage. The only problem was that I did not fully embrace the fact that God had another list that He had ordained for me before I was born. That list included who He desired me to marry and equally as important, was the purpose behind His decision. I was sincere in reference to my thinking and approach to marriage, but I learned that I was sincerely wrong. This defect in my thinking and my unfamiliarity with the ways of a sovereign God caused me many years of misery, even after marrying the man that God chose for me. Maybe you are separated or divorced, and you want to do things God's way this time, or maybe you have never been married and have vowed to keep yourself sexually pure until the big day. Maybe you want to have children but according to society's time clock, things appear to be somewhat, or even very, bleak. I may not have touched on your situation, but I know that whatever your story is that you are one of God's precious daughters and you may be experiencing frustration married, or not. What I want you to know is that there is hope for you to maneuver through this season without the same emotional debilitation that I, along with many other women of God have experienced. There are answers, strategies and wisdom for you. There is the potential for you to come to know God for who He is instead of the Fairy Godfather that many of us were conditioned to believe about Him. I am honored to be used to help you in this season to assist you as you disrobe from a fantasy infected mindset and emerge as the victor that you are.
