Deep in the Appalachians a coal mining company's slurry pond collapses sending billions of gallons barreling down the mountain gathering everything in its path as the avalanche of toxic waste crashes through a secret government research facility before destroying Black Bear Creek. The disaster releases the research experiment they government was creating--a new life form is unleashed on an unsuspecting world. Survivors struggle against the disaster and unknown enemies lie in wait to terminate any leaks to the outside world.
