Since 2002, Saturday Writers have been living their motto, "Writers Encouraging Writers." In 2019, the group decided to extend their encouragement to the youth in the community by holding a writing contest in honor of late member, William A. Spradley.
The year 2019 marks the first William A. Spradley Youth Writing Contest Anthology. Writers were inspired with the prompt:
Imagine a giant box is delivered to your front door with your name on it. Write about what's inside.
With over 150 entries from writers in 3rd - 8th grade, this volume contains 18 of the best stories. Join us as we explore the mystery contents of the giant box in this collection of SPECIAL DELIVERY.
