The purpose of this book is to explain the origin of the transformation process, who and what are the forces that influence it, how it begins, and how the transforming relationship continues. There are two essential steps in the process of spiritual transformation. The first is justification leading to salvation. Through the action of regeneration (John 3:3-6), we become believers in Christ Jesus (Romans 10:9-10). Because of our disobedient nature, we had to be reconciled to God (Romans 6:23). God planned reconciliation (Ephesians 2:14-15). Jesus performed the act the allows for reconciliation (Ephesians 2:16). The Spirit of God produces reconciliation in the believer (Ephesians 2:17-18) and continues the experience of transformation during our lifetime (2 Corinthians 3:17-18).
