Gentry Bouchard, along with his brother Dobbs and Jenson are highly successful prosecuting attorneys. But Gentry is not happy. The fire that once burned in his belly for getting the bad guy is now barely a flicker. Even while working the biggest murder case in the state of Virginia he can't seems to shake that something is missing in his life. After years of being plagued by a deep shyness he hasn't been able to overcome on his own, he begins moonlighting as a ride share driver in hopes of figuring out where the fire has gone and try to finally defeat the shyness that has kept him from the more he is so desperate to find. He gets more than he bargained for on a stormy night, when he picks up Emory Jennings, a single mom working late night retail hours. While the fifteen minute encounter is about to change the trajectory of both their lives, Gentry will have to come to terms with the suppressed memories of a childhood tragedy and Emory will have to learn to that she can let her heart trust again.
