In the Eye of the Storm Denise Villahermosa

On September 17, 2017 Category 4 Hurricane Maria passed through Puerto Rico, destroying the communication grid, leaving the island with no power and no water for up to a year in some areas. What was once a lush, green, and beautiful paradise, now became a picture of destruction, chaos, and humanitarian crisis. Vegetation had been burnt to a stubble due to the 150+ mile raging winds. Utility lines were down everywhere, roads were flooded, homes seemed to have disappeared, and towns looked abandoned. In The Eye Of The Storm, author Denise Villahermosa shares her emotional story of preparing for this monstrous visitation. Follow her journey as she and her family escape from the flood that surprised them in the dark of the night, only to have the SUV that transported them overtaken by water. It is at this point that the symptoms of PTSD start to appear. Join Denise as she shares how through her faith, she was able to rise above her circumstances and her steps to recovery by the power of God. Grab some tissues and see God's hand at work.
