What is First Mention?The Law of FIRST MENTION of a word in the King James A. V. 1611 sets the tone, it's associations and the definition of the word throughout the rest of the Bible. This compilation of the words of the Bible shows you where the word is located as it appears in Scripture, with the quote of that word as it is found in the English text. My interest in this truth was nurtured by the man who led me to the Lord Jesus Christ, and of whom I have since that day considered to be my pastor Dr. Mickey Carter, Pastor of Landmark Baptist Church, and founder of Landmark Baptist College in Haines City, Florida, and another great influence is the Bible teacher and author Dr. Peter S. Ruckman, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church in Pensacola Florida who has authored 200 plus books and pamphlets on the Holy Bible (Bible Baptist Bookstore, Pensacola, Florida.) Both of these men taught me that the King James Holy Bible is the word and words of the living God and that he gave it to us just as he wanted us to have it in the end time, universal language of English. I confess, I believe the same thing. I hope this work will be of benefit to you as you grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. The LayoutThis book is laid out according to the order of the King James Bible for easy marking. The nuggets are in chapter-verse sequence just as the bible. This work is to be used as you would a proverb, or a bumper sticker, every nugget stands on its own, and is to be considered independently as you read through your King James Holy Bible. Marking Your BibleI suggest that you mark your Bible only with inks that will not bleed through the pages. I use "ACID FREE" artist ink and you can get them in just about any color, these are superb for writing notes and underlining your Bible. I recommend that you use a different color for each distinct group, for example, you might underline all of the words that appear only one time in the scripture with one color, all words that appear only one time in a particular Testament with another color, and all other occurrences of first mention words that you wish to mark for teaching purposes (for instance, "lowest, hell" both appear for the first time in Dt. 32) with yet another color so that as you teach the Bible these words will stand out to you as either first use, only use, or only testament use, this will bring to your remembrance any significance that you have found concerning the placement of these words in the King James A. V. 1611 text. IntroductionThis book, "First Mention Nuggets" is the by-product of my book entitled "First Mention" Every Word In The King James Bible And Where It First Appears" which is, as the title states, a reference book which lists in chapter-verse sequence every word and where it first appears in the Holy Bible. The significance of the first appearance of a word in the Bible sets the tone, the numerical associations and the definition that is consistent throughout the rest of the Bible. See an example below of the law of first mention. For an example of the law of 'first mention' and its numerical association I will use: Gen. 13:13 But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. The address is apparent 13:13The verse has 13 words. The verse contains two words that are show up for the very first time in the Bible; those words are: WICKED, SINNERS (13 letters). The number 13 then is associated with 'rebellion', 'wickedness', 'sinners', and Satan all the way till the book of Revelation ends. That my friend is a first-class 'nugget' in the King James Holy Bible.
