Misunderstood Dog Breeds - PitBulls
It is a fact that Pitbulls are one of the most hated and misunderstood dog breeds in the world. These dogs are not inherently vicious, this is a stereotype and is biased towards generalizing and condemning an entire breed of dog based on the actions of a few bad people. Pitbulls may have a bad reputation, but they have a heart of gold under that rough and tumble, muscular exterior.
Pitbulls are no more aggressive to other dogs or people than any other dog breed would be, and they are generally lovable dogs, and can be a very loving, loyal, friendly, and dedicated dog, unless they have been poorly bred or purposefully trained to attack.
Pitbulls were used in World War 1 propaganda posters to symbolize the United States, as they were respected for their loyalty, determination and bravery and as such were considered as ideal symbols.
It does not matter whether you adopt a Pitbull puppy or adult dog, both have advantages to adoption, in the end, the decision to adopt any dog requires deep thought on many things, including but not limited to, is the dog right for your family and are you able to commit to the dog for the entirety of his/her lifetime.
