The history of the Holocaust is sad and also a blot in the European consciousness. Albania was a country that hosted many Jewish families during the Second World War. This book tells the story of the warm welcome of the Jews during this war, between love, hate, sacrifice and dedication to men and to God. It traces the love story between Elijah, a Jewish girl, and Mehmet, a young Albanian Muslim. Between the forbidden, and the soul that seeks to breathe freedom and live in peace, this book shows the noble spirit of the Albanians towards the Jews during the Second World War.
