He was in a recording studio and met a friend of Sean Lennon who had just turned 21 who said "It's a terrible time to be 21!"Joel mentions 119 names, places and events in his song. The first time you listen to the song they may strike you as being random or irrelevant and if you're of the younger generation some may be unknown. This is in a way an ode to history as much as it is an exploration of who the Fire Starters were.
