In spite of her success in the advertising world, Madison Beaumont finds her personal life falling apart. Trying to find a place of refuge where she can't be tracked down, she returns to Three Bear Inn, the home of her college friend's grandmother in Harlan County, Kentucky. From a flat tire, black bear encounters, and attention from a gorgeous coal mining man, Madison's visit turns out to be anything but the uneventful visit she expected. She must face the realization that there are issues of pride and prejudice at work on both ends of the spectrum as she gets acquainted with local people. A sudden crisis in the mining community puts things in dramatic perspective for her as she examines her core values and struggles to get her life back on track. Appalachian Pride and Prejudice is a faith based Christian romance that faces many of modern society's values head on with love and compassion. The characters reveal human frailties, but also represent the redemptive love of God.
