After the sudden loss of her husband, learning to be a single parent, moving back home, and trying to grow her law practice, Abby just can't seem to work up any enthusiasm about the dating scene. Her parents can see how her life is lacking and give her a small push to go on a week-long skiing vacation. She used to love to ski but that seems, like everything else in her life, not worth the effort. She is happy with her son and work.
