Being born in an impoverished country, living with sickle cell disease, and was told that I would not live to see my sixteenth birthday were the sources of my inspiration. I had big dreams, although it seemed there was no logical reason to be hopeful. Through this book, you learn God has a plan for your good and bad times; you are not alone, and God has not forgotten about you. Christians can enjoy the peace, joy, and hope that surpasses all understanding in Him, even in the face of awful, tragic, and humiliating circumstances (Phil. 4:7).
