Though many argue against the historic authenticity of the Genesis narratives, the undeniable fact that the account of Cain and Abel points directly to the historic Jesus of the gospels underscores the historicity of Genesis: for God never uses fable in Scripture to point to a very real Savior to Whom all the promises of God for a very real, lost humanity are inseparably and eternally linked. To Whom be glory both now and forever. Amen! (2 Peter 3:18) Dan Johnson is a graduate of Welch Bible College in Tennessee, and lives in Michigan with his wife of 31 wonderful years. He is honored to be the adult Sunday School teacher at the Heritage Free Will Baptist Church in Taylor, Michigan under Pastor Mark Tackett.
