DR-145 is an inspiring account of Tyler Simmet's life-changing experience as an American Red Cross volunteer in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Tyler, who was struggling to find peace, joy, and fulfillment, went with his friend and fraternity brother Garrett Bogar to New York City to assist in disaster relief efforts. The experience ignited his quest to discover what's truly important and put him on a path of lasting change through finding Christ. New York was only the start of Tyler's journey. The series of awakenings following the trip brought about extraordinary transformation, but also significant trials of confusion and adversity, even to the point of a two week hospital stay. He found an incredible amount of strength, persistence, and courage through his newfound faith. This allowed him to grow from the difficulties, lead a life focused on love, and continue seeking truth. Tyler Simmet is a physical therapist, a captain in the United States Army, and a devout Christian that is dedicated to serving others. He first became an author when his research manuscript was published in the peer reviewed journal "Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation". Tyler has received numerous awards for his outstanding leadership and selfless service both among the troops and throughout his community.
