Christ said, "Follow me," and nearly 2.5 billion of us accepted. And yet Christ also said, "Now go," and many of us struggle to fully participate in that calling.

Why is that? Why is it so hard to live as a disciple? As Christians, what do we know--or not know--about God's mission on earth? Why do the majority of us fail to connect God's purpose, love, and ministry to our daily lives?

In Love Child, Geoff Peters unpacks that great divide between what we as Christians are called to do and what we actually do. God's message was simple, and we've made it complicated--packaging it with fear, shame, and culture-locked language and traditions.

Based on research with Christians in seven countries and wrapped in the author's personal life story and reflections, Love Child challenges church leaders, mission executives, seminary teachers, and Christ followers everywhere to wrestle with the fears that hold us back and allow God's love to reach us for His kingdom purpose. By better understanding the barriers and hurdles we unintentionally create when discipling believers, we can live as children of God, boldly sharing His love in our own neighborhoods and the world.
