Many times people who don't have special needs find it hard to relate to children or adults who have special needs. The book I Can Do It Too is designed to assist children and adults with relating to people who appear to be different from the norm. This book teaches us that different does not mean bad. People with special needs often struggle to make friends, are bullied, and made to feel like they are less of a person because of their disability. This book helps people with disabilities understand that it is okay to embrace their differences. We are more alike than we are different. The author is hoping this book will help build a bridge of acceptance of all people whether they have a disability or not. Hopefully the book will start conversations related to acceptance of each other's differences and help us love each other and love ourselves just the way we are.
