Oddballs of the Bible Steve Barckholtz

Several years ago, THE Hero of Faithfulness revealed God wants to use YOUR life to display His grace & love. Now, ODDBALLS of the Bible continues to look through the pages of Scripture to see how God is always at work through the lives of ordinary-even obscure-men & women. From the Introduction of ODDBALLS of the Bible-An Oddball is the person who makes you stop as you are reading the Bible and blurt out, "Really, God? We really needed to know this person? And, we even needed to know this person-by name?"I want to know the stories and details of the Bible's Oddballs. After all, the Holy Spirit did inspire their one verse, one event, recorded-for-all-time-inclusion into the Bible, just as He did the volumes of chapters and verses devoted to the "stars."Of all the people and events He could have included in His Word, I want to know WHY God chose these regular and normal folk-people amazingly, sinfully, like you and me-to accomplish some remarkable things. ODDBALLS of the Bible will reveal how these men and women in God's Word will help YOU grow and live YOUR faith today! Steve Barckholtz is his own kind of ODDBALL. He has served as a pastor in Mammoth Lakes, CA, Elko, NV, and Hailey, ID. After leaving the parish ministry for a few years, he now serves as pastor at Clover Trinity Lutheran Church, Clover, ID, and St. John's Lutheran Church, Buhl, ID. Married to Wendy for almost 30 years, and father of Zane and Mallory, Steve spends his spare time umpiring High School and American Legion baseball. As only an umpire knows, "You have not truly lived until you have been hit in the face by a foul ball!"
